It’s official……
Tatertot is traumatized when it comes to the very thought of actually sleeping in his toddler bed at night.
He loves to sit on it and read books, snuggle up with his dino or just sit there and laugh at Zman, but the minute you try to lay him down in it for the night ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!! It’s like someone hit the CRY/SCREAM switch on my sweet little monkey.
It’s sooooo sad!
I even made the attempt at playing tough mom and let him cry it out in hopes that he would give in and just lay back down……10 minutes later…..still crying….still screaming….
I went and rescued him. For the next 15 minutes, he wouldn’t let me put him down. He was scared shitless from my attempt to be tough…..I can’t be tough with him…he melts my heart….
He recovered rather quickly on the next trip into his room when he saw that his mattress was back in his crib and that’s where I was putting him for the night.
Anyone have any tips for the big move?
He is 14 months old and loves his bed all day long……until the sun goes down.
My other 2 children made the big move within weeks of their 1st birthdays.
Open to all ideas!

I left my son in his crib until he was 2….but he never climbed out either.

14 months is really early to be switching. Maybe wait awhile.
