As many of you know, my kids headed back to school this week. With the new school year comes the shopping for supplies, clothes and shoes. Oh—the dreaded shoe shopping. Now, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy shopping for shoes for myself, my kids on the other hand that’s another story. When it comes to Zman I am terrified to even look at the size of his feet. This year, we discovered he now wears a 6 1/2 in MENS! Yes, you heard me, my 10 year old son wears shoes from the Mens section! SCARY! Then there is the infamous Drama Queen, with a name like that, I’m sure you can just imagine what it is like to buy her shoes. “Mom, no pink or purple shoes this year. Those are the kinds that the 3rd graders wear, not 4th graders!” So, here I was shopping for shoes with a son who has GINORMOUS feet and a daughter who is too old for pink and purple shoes. Yeah—not fun! We did manage to find them each a pair. After having such great success finding shoes for them I thought maybe I could find some for me. Nope. That was not happening!

After being unsuccessful looking for shoes for myself I turned to the Internet where I could have millions of shoes at my fingertips. During my search, I stumbled upon the Patagonia line at Zappo’s .
