I have been inspired by the movie Julie & Julia and have decided to take on a cooking challenge of my own.
I’m sick of cooking the same meals for my family day after day after day and I want to introduce not only myself, but my family to new foods and a healthier lifestyle as well.
The problem is, I need your help.
Yes.
You.
The foodies of the world.
I need either suggestions of some great cookbooks with nothing but healthy foods or just a recipe you would like to share.
I am open to all things healthy EXCEPT TOFU!
Yeah. I can’t do the Tofu.
I want to be a healthier me and I want my family to do the same.
So I am throwing myself at you and asking for your help, ideas, suggestions, tips and anything else you would like to share.
Help me make myself and my family healthier this year!
You can leave your ideas in a comment, send me links or shoot me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you!

hi! my husband & i just watched julie & julia and so i find your post very amusing and exciting! i will try and see what dishes i can have you try-out. but wait, maybe, you can do what julie from the movie did…but instead of recreating julia childs’ masterpieces, maybe you can do, say, mario batali or guiada de laurentiis (i love italian cuisine!) or any one of the chefs from the food network. just a suggestion
more power to you!

That was a great movie by the way! I am on a mission to try a lot of new recipes this year and less eating out. I also want to freeze ahead some meals. I am tired of the same old dinners.

Hey There Anne, thought about Caribbean Food or Middle Eastern Food; they are both very healthy and diverse using many of the same veggie and proteins we use in the us kitchens. usually it’s just the spice that make it pop.
