Yes.
I finally feel like an adult.
It only took me 31 years.
Personally, I thought it would have happened when I became a mom, the first time.
Then again the second time.
Then again when I got married.
And possibly after having the third kid.
But nope.
I didn’t feel like a real adult until this past Friday.
Why you ask?
Because this past Friday, I paid off my car.
A car that I purchased brand spanking new.
Now it’s paid off.
Not only is it paid off, but I went and cleared the title immediately and added my husbands name to it.
Then I went and changed our auto insurance.
Now that I don’t have to worry about having a car payment anymore I can start paying off other bills with the extra cash.
We might just be able to finally get out of debt.
OMG!
This is actually happening.
I am growing up.
Who woulda thunk it?

Wow…that’s great! I have another 4 years on my note, but at least I have something to look forward to (that is the feeling of being an adult of course)! I’ve got two of my own, and I’ll be thirty in July, but I still don’t feel quite grown yet. I think for me that moment will come when I buy my first house. Can’t wait!
