This past weekend, Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog was officially crowned the ninth member of the beloved Disney Princess Royal Court. A magical ceremony took place in the Grand Ballroom at the historic New York Palace in Manhattan. As the newest Disney Princess, Tiana will forever be celebrated and recognized as a Disney Princess across all divisions of the Walt Disney Company and will be included in all Disney Princess merchandise featuring multiple Disney Princess characters.

The crowning was a HUGE red carpet event with plenty of celeb sightings. Check out this great video from the event below.

Recently, the family and I snuggled up on the couch and had the pleasure of viewing The Princess and The Frog for the first time, on BluRay, thanks to Disney and their great idea of packaging BluRay and DVD in one package.
What can I say, other than Disney did it again and produced yet another great film. The Princess and The Frog is a wonderful film that tells the tale of Tiana and what really happened after the princess kissed the frog.

Overall, our family really enjoyed this film and loved all the great bonus material included. From the making of the film to learning about hand drawn animation and bringing it to life all the way to the art galleries and The Princess Portraits game. Again, another great feature is that this movie came as a 3 disc combo pack complete with Blu-Ray, DVD and a Digital Copy.

Around here, we are big fans of Curious George. I remember purchasing the first Curious George fill in 2006 as a gift for my kids while I was going to be out of town. They loved the first movie so much that I was thrilled when I was asked to review the newest film, Curious George 2 – Follow that Monkey. This film was released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment on March 2nd 2010 on DVD.

This new film has some great character voices like Tim Curry, Matt Lauer, Frank Welker, Jamie Kennedy and Jerry Lewis in addition to music from Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. It also contains some great bonus features that we really enjoyed such as Curious George’s Cross Country Caper Game, 2 Never before seen bonus shows from the new tv season and an exclusive music video of hold On, Here We Go.

The story in the film is yet another great tale of Curious George and how he lands not only himself but the Man in the Yellow Hat in trouble all while trying to do something good for another animal.

Here is a short clip and I hope you enjoy this film as much as we have.

On February 9th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment released Season 1 of Gary Unmarried on DVD. Three discs filled with all 20 hilarious episodes in addition to some awesome bonus features including Gary Unhinged: Bloopers From Season One (I suggest wearing a diaper while watching because they are pee you pants funny!) You can also spend a day on the set with Jay Mohr and oh so much more. If you haven’t seen Gary Unmarried on TV, I beg you to take a moment a watch an episode because it is funny. Plus it will leave you will a bazillion one liners to repeat over and over again!

Allison: “So, a Russian poet Shoveasockinit?”
Gary: “Yeah, you know his muse was his wife, Oftenisabitch!”
