People who live in Wisconsin that drive like idiots when it snows or seem to forget how to drive in snow. Really people…..it happens EVERY. YEAR.

And that is what annoys me today!

Bring on the Blizzard!

My bad.
I was wrong.
You know when I wrote this post about my $0.43.
Apparently the price of a stamp is now $0.44 so that rules out the idea of purchasing a stamp to send Sperm Donor #1 a warm and thoughtful Thank you letter for his contribution in supporting my son.

I guess that puts me back at square one as to what to do with my ginormous child support payment of $0.43.

On another note, you may recall me mentioning that Sperm Donor #1 has not seen Zman since the beginning of August because he lied to my kid and has not made any real effort to mend their relationship. (Not to mention that he lives approximately 40 miles away).

Well…..

A very good friend of mine informed me that she saw him at the local WalMart the other night.

Yea.

The Walmart.

The WalMart which is located approximately 5 minutes from my home via the highway.

Do you think he picked up the phone to call my son to stop by for a quick visit while he was in town?

Nope.

Not a peep from him.

Not one little word.

I spoke to him on the phone last week.

Okay, I didn’t really speak to him.
I more like, yelled at him.

Okay….maybe I didn’t yell at him.
It was more like I tore him a new a$$hole.

I tried to explain to him that maybe he should put in a little effort to repair the relationship he so easily broke.

He asked how he could do that.

I told him….if you’re in town….GIVE THE BOY A CALL!!!

Again….
what did he do?

He didn’t call.

He didn’t even call to invite him to Thanksgiving dinner with his family.

My guess is he didn’t get the fucking Memo or read the book on Parenting and How Not to Destroy Your Relationship with Your First Born.

So, I’ve decided to let the $0.43 sit in the bank.

I was planning on closing that account out in January but now I am not.

I will leave that $0.43 in the bank until Zman’s 18th birthday.

I can’t wait to see how much is there when that day comes!

I know.
I haven’t been around lately.
No, I didn’t forget about you.
I’m simply in a class that is seriously kicking my ass and taking names.
Fundamentals of Programming with Algorithms and Logic.

Yeah.

Sounds like boat loads of fun doesn’t it.

Ummm….

It’s not.

It’s anything but fun.

Needless to say I’ve been spending A LOT of time trying to understand it all and less time here.

I am hoping that when my textbook (that I ordered because the online version we are given doesn’t help) arrives that I will be able to understand things better.

Because really if I have to be in this class for another 7 weeks ( 9 if you add the 2 weeks I have off for Winter break), I am seriously going to lose my mind.

So, the book should be here this week.

I’m hoping it arrives tomorrow.

Because yes, I admit it, I am lost right now.

But.

I am not alone.

There are others in my class who are just as lost as I am.

So at least I don’t feel totally stupid.

On another note,

Our family of 5 managed to survive 3 (yes, 3!) Thanksgiving dinners and there was minimal drama. (Read:  I am sick of everyone thinking I am unable to succeed at anything in life because I have taken a different life path then them but guess what, you can suck a big fat one because when I do finish school and have my degree you will not be able to mock me anymore!)

Phew.

Yea.

Family drama.

That was the most we saw of it.

We somehow managed to miss out on what appears to have been (from what we heard) a wicked awesome family falling out at one of the other holiday festivities.

I, needless to say, was disappointed that I wasn’t there to witness it.

Sometimes, yes—sometimes, I enjoy a little family drama.

It makes for more interesting holidays and family functions.

Other then that, there hasn’t been much going on.

I didn’t participate in Black Friday events this year due to the lack of cash but the Hardworking Hubby did sit outside of Best Buy from 12:30am until they opened and secured some items his mother needed and then lurked around the store for 2 hours until she was finally able to get there and pay for everything.

This week I am looking forward to getting ready for Christmas since for some strange reason I am ACTUALLY looking forward to it this year.  The kids have lots going on all week and on Friday we plan on getting our Christmas tree, putting it up and decorating it.  Saturday there is a babysitter all lined up and plans made to go out and celebrate my birthday ( 10 days early) since it’s the only free weekend we have.

I’m really excited that I will be attending my first blog event with a great Twitter/Blog friend Stacie on the 11th and we will finally be friends IRL!

So, that’s what has been going on in a nutshell.

I have also been writing more and will be posting some more Tales of My Shady Past soon.

Dear God,

I have quite a bone to pick with you!  As much as I hate to say it, this week, you are getting dangerously close to the top of my s**t list.

Now, I will admit, I have never been much of a believer/follower/praying person but lately, I have been praying a lot.

This year, there have been many things that have warranted my sending prayers in your direction.

I asked you to protect my family and friends IRL.

I asked you to keep an eye on little Maddie and help Mike and Heather with their grief and to ensure Binky’s sage arrival.

I asked you to take care of Stellan and make sure he would continue to defy the odds and thrive more everyday.

I asked you to heal Bob and get help him pull through the last scare he gave his family.

I asked you to take care of Will as Lisa flew home to him.

I asked you to watch over Kim as she grieves for her husband Greg.

I asked you to keep Sara and her family safe as they made their journey from California to Texas.

I asked you to help Ben pull through his many surgeries.

And this, this is just a short list of the things I have asked you to do.

And of this short list, you have managed to answer my prayers every time.

Then this week, just when I think everything is starting to look up and I haven’t had to ask for anything yet you go and throw everything down the drain by allowing Anissa to have a stroke, land in a coma and wind up in the ICU when she’s supposed to be departing on a Bahamian Cruise with other bloggers tomorrow.

WTF!?

Now, I may not know Anissa IRL but we have chatted frequently on Twitter about different television shows, Ralph Macchio, her knack for aiming low (and succeeding at it), how we are both amazing at Monopoly ( there is even a challenge for us to play each other) and then their is the part where I just love to read everything else she writes and Tweets.

And you, you God, have taken that away from not only me this week, but countless others.

Now, I’ve never asked you for assistance in acquiring material things or to win the lottery.

When I have reached out to you, it has always been for a legit reason.

I am asking you now, on behalf of myself, Anissa’s family and thousands of friends she has IRL and the Interwebz to protect her and help her pull through this and make her better and stronger than she already is (except, please don’t let her bewbs become anymore glorious than they already are!) and bring her back to all of us because really, I hate to be that girl who has God at the top of her s**t list!

Sincerely Yours,

Suck it 2009

I have to say that since 2009 arrived 11 months and 18 days ago it has not done much to impress me.
Actually, 2009 has done nothing but upset me, make me angry and make me cry many, many times.
Let’s begin with how 2009 arrived and the economy continued to go downhill.
Things really sucked when my little Tatertot became rabbit food in January and a bunny nibbled on his finger warranting a very long and costly trip to the emergency room.
It stole away the life of a bloggy friends husband and soul mate leaving her behind, alone to pick up the pieces of her life and put them back together.
It continued to suck when the life of a beautiful young girl named Maddie was taken from all of us leaving her family and the rest of the interwebz to grieve and wipe away tears every time we set our eyes on the color purple.
Socks the cat bid us ado and moved on to kitty heaven.
Dorthy Zbornak downed her last piece of cheesecake with the girls as we said farewell to Bea Arthur.
I was robbed of the chance that Ed McMahon would ever show up at my door with a check from Publisher’s Clearing House.
The days of feathering my hair are now in the past as Farrah Fawcett moved on to a better place.
Infomercials are no longer enjoyable since the loss of Billy Mays…..I can no longer use OxiClean…it’s just not the same.
My cousin’s half brother has continued to fight for his life since he came into this world on Father’s Day earlier than anticipated.
My best friend of 25 years and her family had to watch as her father underwent brain surgery and a few weeks later see her brother in a coma battling for his life.
Those of us in the blogosphere and twitterverse have watched and prayed as little Stellan battled SVT, flatlined and than defied all odds and pulled through everything and is now living without SVT (okay, so not all of that sucks but the whole being hospitalized and flatlining—-yeah, that sucked!)
So, let’s just skip to today when I receive word that another dear friend in the blogosphere and twitterverse that makes me laugh and almost pee my pants, teaches me new things, who has already suffered so much in her young life has a stroke and ends up in the ICU.
Seriously 2009….SERIOUSLY!!!
WTF??
This is just a short list of all that has happened this year and well…..
As far as I’m concerned 2009, you can suck a big fat one!
