Suzanne Somers

In 2001 Somers announced that she had breast cancer after having a lumpectomy to remove the cancer followed by radiation therapy, though she decided to forego chemotherapy in favour of alternative treatment.

Diahann Carroll was shocked when she was diagnosed with the disease at age 63. Carroll didn’t have a family history of breast cancer, and was more focused on preventing diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.
